Ayurvedic Yoga Massage is a fantastic extension of yoga, it allows people who have never stepped onto a mat before to benefit from Iyenger inspired stretches and enables those who do, to move deeper into their practice.
I have practiced yoga for the past 15 years and love its ability to bring deep relaxation to the mind as well as our bodies. I have been interested in alternative medicine since I was knee high to a grasshopper and having been vegetarian for 20 years, became vegan 3 years ago. I am also a Ceramicist (a potter who doesn’t make pots! Find me at Christina Bolt Artist on Facebook) with my work focusing on our human condition within our strong yet fragile environment.
I came to massage via a Facebook advert for AYM, it popped into my periphery just when I was looking to take my life in a new direction and sounded too perfect to miss. I was right! It’s a wonderful thing to be able to give people relief from tension, aches and pains, to help their bodies and minds get back on the right path.
I use only organic oils for massage and the best quality essential oils. The use of Calamus powder brings not only a gentle exfoliation to the skin but also an extra level of warmth to the muscles, this increases relaxation and encourages the elimination of toxins by increased oxygen levels to the areas massaged.
We are all of us different, with individual bodies and our own needs. I encourage EVERYONE to try massage in any form, therapists are not here to judge, but very much want to help. I will tailor each massage to you, for that session, listening to your body as the massage progresses to ensure you walk away feeling so much better than when you arrived!
I work across Bournemouth and Poole, but can travel to London and Cornwall when needed.
